Bridge Work

Dental bridges are a used to replace unsightly gaps and missing teeth.
A bridge is a fixed, permanent restoration that is recommended in complex dental situations to restore support and function.

Now at Roseneath we can provide aesthetic all-ceramic materials that are as strong as traditional metal restorations but mimic the translucency of natural teeth rather than blocking out the light with a metal substructure giving a fantastic appearance.

If a tooth is lost or missing, the gap left by a missing tooth can mean greater strain on the teeth on either side. A gap can also mean your ‘bite’ is affected, because the teeth next to the space can lean into the gap and alter the way the upper and lower teeth bite together. This can then lead to food getting packed into the gap, which causes both decay and gum disease.

There are several different types of bridgework including adhesive bridges which require minimal preparations to fixed bridges. At Roseneath our experienced dentists will be able to recommend the most suitable treatment options.

Bridges

If a tooth is lost or there is a space a conventional bridge may be an option.
The adjacent teeth can then be prepared to hold the tooth which fills the space.
A Bridge is made by our experienced technicians which exactly matches the space and is fitted across the gap permanently.
